Surgical Evaluation Technician I (Medical Equipment)

Location: Roanoke, Texas — Lab; onsite, Monday–Friday during daytime hours

What you will do

• Perform incoming and outgoing quality-control testing of surgical medical instruments.
• Receive, inspect, evaluate, and test equipment for defects, worn parts, and craftsmanship issues.
• Verify that outgoing equipment operates properly and meets applicable standards.
• Document services, testing, and required parts.
• Maintain the work area according to Visual Work Place standards.
• Prepare instruments and equipment for shipping and complete timecard and time-off entries.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• One to two years of repair experience preferred but not required.
• Proficient computer skills and basic cost awareness.
• Ability to sit, stand, lift, bend, and stoop frequently, including lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds.
• Ability to perform equipment decontamination processes when needed.
• Flexibility to adjust the work schedule to meet department needs and maintain modality and department standards.
