Summer 2027 Corporate Development Internship (Insurance)

Salary: $23–$50 per hour national hourly pay range for hirify.global internships

What you will do

• Research companies, markets, products, competitors, industry trends, and relevant transactions across insurance and financial services.
• Prepare company overviews, market updates, target profiles, and materials for potential acquisitions, divestitures, reinsurance transactions, and strategic partnerships.
• Support financial analysis, valuation perspectives, transaction comparisons, sensitivity analysis, and Corporate Development recommendations.
• Organize and analyze information from potential targets, investment bankers, and other counterparties during evaluation and due diligence.
• Track workstreams, information requests, timelines, open items, and required approvals.
• Prepare written summaries and presentation materials, and complete a structured company evaluation for presentation to the Corporate Development team.

Requirements

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, statistics, mathematics, actuarial science, or a related field.
• Strong interest in Corporate Development, mergers and acquisitions, investment banking, corporate finance, insurance, financial services, or strategy.
• Strong analytical, research, problem-solving, financial reasoning, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with financial modeling, valuation, or data-analysis tools is helpful.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, meet deadlines, and handle confidential information with judgment and discretion.
• Collaborative mindset, intellectual curiosity, learning agility, and comfort working in a fast-paced environment with ambiguity.

Nice to have

• Prior investment banking, private equity, corporate finance, insurance, or other transaction-related experience.
