Software Design Engineer (C/C++)

Location: On-site in Wilton, Connecticut, United States; a flexible workplace arrangement may be available for eligible roles, with up to two remote days per week.

hirify.global develops and services lithography machines that enable leading semiconductor manufacturers to produce smaller, more powerful microchips.

What you will do

• Develop software that controls advanced semiconductor lithography systems.
• Use Agile methodology and C, C++, and Python to build modular, scalable, and robust software.
• Create software architecture and designs that meet customer requirements.
• Perform unit testing and on-target testing to maintain high software quality.
• Evaluate technical issues, risks, and project dependencies while investigating customer-impacting problems.
• Work with customers, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary engineering teams to clarify requirements and improve development processes.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or PhD, or a bachelor’s degree with at least three years of relevant experience, in Computer Science, ECE, or Software Engineering.
• Proficiency in C or C++.
• Experience with software and technical tools such as ClearCase, Jira, and Bash.
• Strong written and oral English communication skills, collaboration abilities, and the ability to influence others.
• Legal authorization to access controlled technology under United States export regulations is required before starting work.
• Regular on-site attendance in Wilton is required, including in-person work-related events, training, and meetings.

Nice to have

• Experience writing unit tests or automated tests with Python or GoogleTest.
