Senior Design System Engineer (React/TypeScript)

Location: Copenhagen, Denmark; the team has a default expectation of four days per week in the office, with flexibility for remote work when needed.

What you will do

• Build production-quality React and TypeScript components for the design system.
• Design component APIs, manage versioning, and prevent upgrades from breaking product teams.
• Create documentation that enables engineers and AI agents to use components correctly without assistance.
• Maintain quality through automated tests, visual regression testing, and a reliable release process.
• Audit and evolve existing components for consistency, accessibility, reuse, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to ensure design intent reaches production.

Requirements

• 5+ years of frontend experience in B2B SaaS, including design system work.
• Strong React, TypeScript, and CSS skills.
• Experience building reusable, documented, and maintainable components.
• Ability to move from rough ideas to working prototypes quickly.
• Ownership of work from discovery through testing and release.
• Strong attention to component details, including spacing, motion, states, and accessibility.

Hiring process

• Meet and greet with a Lead People Partner, followed by a logical test.
• Interview with the Senior Director of Product Design.
• Take-home assignment and presentation with the Senior Director of Product Design and Lead Designer.
