Location: Remote role associated with Durham, North Carolina, United States

Salary: $154,900–$431,500 annual base pay

What you will do

• Create innovative, evidence-based, and patient-centered delivery strategies for cell and gene therapy trials and studies.
• Provide clinical, scientific, and operational guidance for proposals, protocol design, clinical development plans, and feasibility assessments.
• Support business development through customer meetings, bid defenses, presentations, and strategic partnership activities.
• Use clinical trial and IQVIA data resources to address clinical questions, recruitment planning, target-site profiles, and competitive landscapes.
• Advise internal stakeholders and sponsors on gene therapy and gene-editing development strategies.
• Lead thought leadership activities, including publications, presentations, and scientific initiatives.

Requirements

• MD, DO, MD/PhD, or another relevant terminal degree; a degree from an accredited and internationally recognized school is required.
• At least 5 years of relevant clinical research experience, including hands-on operational delivery or drug development experience in gene therapy or gene editing.
• Current knowledge of the scientific, clinical, regulatory, commercial, and competitive cell and gene therapy landscape.
• In-depth knowledge of clinical research regulations, including Good Clinical Practice and ICH guidelines.
• Strong consultation, clinical research, negotiation, stakeholder management, and evidence-based clinical development skills.
• Board certification or medical subspecialty certification is valued; formal training in Neurology, Medical Genetics, or Cardiology is preferred.
