Senior Accountant (Life Sciences)

Location: On-site in Buccinasco, Milan, Italy

Salary: €40,000–€50,000 gross annually, plus a target bonus of 5% of annual base salary.

hirify.global operates Leica Microsystems, which develops optical and digital microscopy, imaging, and AI-based image analysis solutions for life sciences, diagnostics, biotechnology, and healthcare.

What you will do

• Lead month-end closing activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Prepare financial statements for corporate reporting and annual local statutory accounts.
• Ensure financial processes and transactions comply with internal control requirements.
• Support daily bookkeeping across accounts payable, accounts receivable, and treasury.
• Contribute to finance process improvement and accounting automation projects.

Requirements

• Degree in economics, taxation, finance, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of financial accounting experience, ideally with general ledger responsibility in an international corporate environment.
• Fluent English and Spanish, written and spoken.
• Experience in an accounting or tax firm is preferred.
• Ability to work on-site in Buccinasco, Italy.

Nice to have

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA.
• Familiarity with US GAAP and SOX internal control processes.
• Knowledge of Spanish tax regulations, including VAT, corporate income tax, and local statutory compliance.
