PR Manager

Location: Remote-first, anywhere in Europe. Being based in the UK, Germany, or Sweden is a plus but not required; occasional travel may be needed.

What you will do

• Turn marketplace data into publishable stories about pricing, demand, breeds, pet names, and buyer preferences.
• Build and manage a group editorial calendar tailored to seasonal news hooks in each market.
• Own trust and safety transparency reporting, including blocked listings, intercepted scams, protected buyer funds, and illegal import patterns.
• Find human-interest stories in breeder reviews, Trustpilot, and customer support conversations.
• Act as the company press desk and build direct journalist relationships instead of relying on an agency.
• Prepare founders and country leads with talking points, Q&A materials, data appendices, and interview briefings.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in PR, communications, or journalism, preferably in-house.
• Personally landed coverage in national or major regional media and can build compelling stories from data.
• Comfortable using spreadsheets and dashboards to analyse and verify data.
• Daily, active use of AI tools such as Claude or ChatGPT for research, drafting, localisation, and workflow automation.
• Native-level English with writing that requires no editing before publication.
• Able to operate as a team of one while briefing and managing agencies and freelancers.

Nice to have

• Experience in a reputation-sensitive marketplace or a category facing regulatory or campaigner scrutiny.
• Experience running consumer surveys with panels or survey tools.
• Knowledge of digital PR fundamentals, including earned links, newsjacking, and syndication.
