TL;DR
DevOps Engineer (Kubernetes/AWS): Building and operating highly available, cloud-agnostic Kubernetes infrastructure for geographically distributed, event-driven systems processing high volumes of real-time events with an accent on scalability, security, and operational efficiency. Focus on automating GitOps deployments, scaling microservices, managing event streaming and databases, and troubleshooting networking and production infrastructure.

What you will do
- Design, implement, and operate scalable, highly available Kubernetes infrastructure for large-scale event-driven systems.
- Build cloud-agnostic Kubernetes environments for high-throughput real-time event processing across AWS and other cloud environments.
- Develop resilient distributed systems and automated scaling strategies for changing workloads.
- Implement GitOps workflows and automate deployments, rollbacks, and infrastructure updates with Terraform or OpenTofu.
- Deploy and manage PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and Redis workloads within Kubernetes.
- Support event streaming, observability, security, networking, traffic management, and production troubleshooting.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience designing and implementing Kubernetes infrastructure for large-scale, event-driven systems.
- Strong Kubernetes orchestration skills, including networking, security, and scaling.
- Experience operating Kubernetes workloads in AWS and strong Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform or OpenTofu.
- Hands-on experience with GitOps tools such as Flux or ArgoCD, automated CI/CD deployments, and Helm.
- Strong Linux administration, networking, and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with event streaming or messaging systems such as Kafka, NATS, or RabbitMQ, plus collaboration with Go-based backend teams.
Nice to have
- Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, or ELK.
- Advanced Kubernetes security practices, including OPA/Gatekeeper, secrets management, or network segmentation.
- Experience with NGINX Ingress Controller, Cilium, Calico, service mesh technologies, or multi-region deployments.
