Analyst (Fintech)

Location: London, United Kingdom; hybrid. Work from home is available on Mondays and Fridays, with office attendance on other days.

What you will do

• Analyse loan pricing, funnel performance, and credit optimisation opportunities.
• Research and propose improvements to pricing strategies and modelling methodology.
• Work with credit and product teams to align pricing decisions with credit risk and underwriting strategy.
• Translate business problems into data questions and recommend solutions.
• Communicate analytical results clearly to stakeholders in written and verbal formats.
• Build expertise in the product domain, data, and modelling approaches while taking ownership of analyses.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of experience in a technical, analytical, or data-focused role.
• Experience with Python, including pandas, numpy, and scikit-learn, as well as SQL.
• Theoretical understanding of core machine learning techniques and statistical principles.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with experience working with large datasets.
• Confident communication skills and the ability to contribute effectively within a team.
• Self-directed approach and willingness to take ownership of tasks and analyses.

Nice to have

• Exposure to credit risk or financial datasets.
• Interest in data engineering.
• Experience with financial or pricing modelling.
