Material Handler (Medical Device)

Location: Onsite in Allentown, Pennsylvania, United States. Schedule: 6:00 p.m.–6:00 a.m. on a rotating 3/4 schedule, including weekends as required.

Hourly pay: $23.31.

What you will do

• Supply production areas with materials, components, and inventory needed for daily manufacturing operations.
• Receive, verify, move, stage, replenish, and transport materials between warehouse, stockroom, and production areas.
• Record material transactions and maintain accurate inventory documentation using company systems.
• Monitor inventory levels, identify shortages or discrepancies, and support cycle counts, stock checks, and reconciliations.
• Operate material-handling equipment safely and maintain a clean, organized work environment in accordance with 5S standards.
• Collaborate with Production, Planning, Quality, and Warehouse teams and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic knowledge of inventory management and material-handling practices.
• Basic computer skills, including data entry and inventory tracking systems.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, accuracy, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, collaborate with teams, and maintain predictable onsite attendance.
• Ability to work non-standard schedules, overtime, and weekends when required.

Nice to have

• Experience in manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, inventory control, material handling, or a related environment.
• Experience in medical-device, pharmaceutical, or other regulated manufacturing.
• Experience with SAP, ERP, warehouse management systems, or inventory-control software.
• Forklift or powered industrial truck experience.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, continuous improvement, or Six Sigma.
