About the Role

You will own the backend money paths and the APIs and authentication services supporting a mobile financial application. You will design reliable systems, enforce secure authorisation, trace settlement flows, integrate financial providers, improve observability and correctness, and deliver tested production services.

Requirements

• Build and operate production systems that move real money
• Design client-facing APIs with versioning idempotency error models pagination and rate limiting
• Build authentication and authorisation backends
• Integrate financial third parties and manage webhooks failures and reconciliation
• Understand on-chain settlement nonces gas reorganisations RPC failures and confirmation depth
• Use TypeScript or transition credibly from Go Kotlin Rust or Java
• Work with Postgres event or queue systems and gRPC
• Use BDD and integration testing with real dependencies
• Use agentic development workflows

Responsibilities

• Design and own backend systems for a high-usage consumer app
• Define versioned backward-compatible mobile API contracts
• Own authentication authorisation and session lifecycles
• Protect authentication systems with rate limiting and anomaly detection
• Set backend testing documentation and security standards
• Trace money paths through wallets event streams and on-chain settlement
• Deliver tested services using test-first development
