Software Engineer, Machine Learning (Advertising)

What you will do

• Develop user signals, features, and representations for large-scale advertising and recommendation models.
• Build and improve candidate retrieval, ranking, prediction, and optimization systems.
• Design scalable approaches for representation learning, feature interaction, and multi-task learning.
• Scale model training and serving systems while improving data loading, memory, distributed execution, and hardware efficiency.
• Build tools for feature evaluation, experimentation, deployment, monitoring, and debugging.
• Collaborate with engineering, data, and product teams to move ML approaches from experimentation into production.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, machine learning, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 4+ years of experience developing and deploying machine learning systems in production.
• Experience with recommendation, ranking, retrieval, prediction, advertising, representation learning, or related machine learning applications.
• Experience training models on large-scale datasets and working with machine learning fundamentals, model architectures, optimization, feature engineering, and evaluation.
• Strong programming and software engineering skills with experience building reliable production systems.
• Experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow and diagnosing data, feature, model, training, or serving-performance problems.

Nice to have

• Experience developing user signals, learned user representations, or large-scale recommendation and advertising systems.
• Experience with distributed model training, large-scale ML infrastructure, GPUs, or other accelerators.
• Experience optimizing ML systems for latency, throughput, memory utilization, or computational efficiency.
• Experience designing online experiments and offline model evaluations.
