Focus on automating provisioning, managing LSF or Slurm environments, troubleshooting production systems, and improving compute-farm efficiency across North American, European, and Asian sites.
Location: San Jose, California, United States; on-site position
Annual salary: $143,500–$266,500 in California, plus potential bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do
- Build, deploy, operate, and optimize HPC compute clusters using LSF or Slurm.
- Manage and enhance the internal compute farm and associated Azure cloud infrastructure.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning with Infrastructure as Code tools.
- Troubleshoot issues across development, testing, and production environments.
- Improve R&D productivity by developing infrastructure solutions with software development teams.
- Support user communities across North America, Europe, and Asia while monitoring, reporting on, and improving system efficiency.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience architecting, managing, and improving HPC environments running Windows and Linux.
- 3+ years of experience working in global teams across multiple geographies.
- Operational experience with DevSecOps best practices and cloud CI/CD pipelines, preferably in Azure.
- Strong Linux administration and problem-solving skills.
- Experience collaborating directly with R&D software development teams.
- BS or MS in computer science or a related field; strong process discipline in documentation, change management, incident management, and problem resolution.
