Salary: $213,000–$263,000 USD annual base salary

What you will do

• Develop machine learning and engineering solutions for real-world autonomous driving problems.
• Design and build deep learning models for predictive planning and deploy them on production vehicles.
• Build architectures, algorithms, data pipelines, and evaluation systems on Google's data infrastructure.
• Work across data, modeling, metrics, and planner-system architecture.
• Collaborate with researchers, product area owners, and engineers to deliver safe and smooth planning behavior.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Robotics, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Hands-on experience with modern deep learning libraries such as TensorFlow, JAX, or PyTorch.
• Proficiency in Python and C/C++ programming.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• 4+ years of experience in machine learning modeling and/or autonomous vehicle systems.
• Ability to work on-site in Mountain View or San Francisco, California.

Nice to have

• MS or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Robotics, or a related field.
• Publications in leading machine learning, computer vision, robotics, or natural language processing conferences.
• Software development or machine learning research experience, including internships.
• Experience with motion planning, production ML systems, or performance optimization for specific hardware architectures.
