Head of Trust & Safety (AI)

Location: Hybrid in San Francisco, NYC, or Omaha, Nebraska

Salary: $195,200–$256,200 annual base salary plus target equity and benefits

What you will do

• Build and lead Trust & Safety operations, policy, vendor programs, quality management, and training.
• Own enforcement economics, including cost per decision, precision and recall, automation targets, queue design, and the vendor-to-in-house operating model.
• Govern AI-assisted enforcement pipelines, human-in-the-loop thresholds, appeals architecture, and audit accountability.
• Own BPO and Trust & Safety vendor partnerships, including selection, capacity planning, quality accountability, and outsourcing decisions.
• Lead operational enforcement of music rights, including rights-matching abuse, impersonation, and copyright workflows with Legal.
• Translate DSA, OSA, and emerging AI-content regulations into tooling, processes, and measurable operational readiness while reporting metrics and tradeoffs to executives.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in Trust & Safety, integrity, or content operations.
• 4+ years leading teams through significant scale inflections.
• Experience owning enforcement metrics at a user-generated-content or generative AI platform, including automation rate, decision accuracy, cost per action, and appeal overturn rate.
• Experience building or governing model-assisted enforcement with human-in-the-loop design and audit accountability.
• Ability to align Product, Engineering, Legal, and Policy without direct authority.

Nice to have

• Experience with music, media, or intellectual-property platforms and rights-matching abuse patterns.
• Direct experience operationalizing DSA, OSA, or emerging AI-content regulatory requirements.
