IT Infrastructure Engineer (Windows/Active Directory/VMware)

Location: Prague, Czechia. Full-time employment based in Czechia.

What you will do

• Design, implement, maintain, and improve Windows and Linux server infrastructure.
• Manage virtualization, storage, backup, Active Directory, PKI, and enterprise application platforms.
• Operate monitoring, patch management, configuration management, access control, and supporting infrastructure systems.
• Plan and execute operating system patching, infrastructure upgrades, qualification, validation, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Lead small and medium-sized infrastructure projects and collaborate with Network & Connectivity and Cloud & Modern Workplace teams.
• Maintain asset inventories, technical documentation, system standards, and vendor coordination.

Requirements

• University degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Full professional proficiency in English, written and spoken.
• Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server and Active Directory.
• Experience administering Windows and/or Linux servers and working with virtualization technologies.
• Experience with PKI, email or MTA technologies, backup and disaster recovery, monitoring, patch management, and configuration management.
• Ability to design and manage infrastructure projects, troubleshoot complex issues, and maintain detailed technical documentation.

Nice to have

• Experience with VMware, Proxmox, Hyper-V, Microsoft Azure, Azure Arc, or Azure Update Manager.
• Experience with Zabbix, PowerShell, infrastructure automation, Microsoft Exchange, Sendmail, or Postfix.
• Experience with Veeam or similar backup technologies.
• Familiarity with ITIL, change management, qualification, validation processes, and relevant infrastructure certifications.
