Software Developer (AI)

Location: Hybrid in Sunnyvale, California or Toronto, Canada

What you will do

• Develop x86 and ARM software exposing next-generation hardware IO capabilities for AI and HPC applications.
• Govern a generic IO API used by multiple internal teams and develop control and configuration subsystems for hirify.global hardware.
• Debug network performance across large AI clusters and analyze network statistics and packet traces to identify bottlenecks.
• Build telemetry and diagnostic tools that improve visibility into network and IO datapaths.
• Optimize CPU and memory utilization using kernel bypass and zero-copy techniques while integrating modern networking protocols.
• Lead cross-functional projects spanning software, hardware, FPGA, ASIC, cluster architecture, and AI application teams.

Requirements

• Master's or PhD in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering with at least 1 year of industry experience, or 3+ years of industry experience.
• Experience working in large software environments.
• Experience with embedded systems, hardware/software co-design, and some driver development.
• Familiarity with network protocols such as TCP and RoCE, plus network debugging tools such as Wireshark, or willingness to learn.
• Some familiarity with network switch environments such as Arista or Juniper, or willingness to learn.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate across technical teams.
