Chip Simulation and Tooling Role (AI)

Location: On-site at the office in San Jose, CA, United States

Salary: Paid 12-week internship

What you will do

• Co-design, develop, and test simulations of custom hardware.
• Build tooling that engineers use to analyze hardware systems.
• Work on inference-focused hardware and software at the infrastructure layer.
• Coordinate closely with software and hardware teams throughout development.
• Contribute across engineering and research disciplines as needed.

Requirements

• Progress toward a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Proficiency in C/C++ or Rust.
• Strong fundamentals in data structures and algorithms.
• Strong understanding of low-level software engineering and hardware/software co-design.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Availability for a Fall 2026, Spring 2027, or Summer 2027 internship.

Nice to have

• Experience with Linux internals, kernel development, or driver debugging.
• Experience with hardware diagnostics or interpreting hardware logs.
• Exposure to server virtualization or CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Rust or embedded development.
