Freelance Fantasy Content Creator (Sports)

Location: Fully remote from a non-hirify.global worksite, most commonly an employee’s residence; unrestricted work authorization in the United States is required. Availability on nights and weekends is required.

Compensation: $200/day

hirify.global is a media and entertainment company producing and distributing film, television, streaming, news, sports, and theme-park content through brands including NBC Sports and Rotoworld.

What you will do

• Write original, insightful posts covering key daily news and events across the NBA, MLB, NFL, and other sports.
• Produce timely fantasy analysis on breaking news, injuries, transactions, and game results.
• Provide fantasy analysis for live-stream and video-on-demand content.
• Brainstorm and pitch creative approaches to sports content and event coverage.
• Collaborate with NBC Sports and Rotoworld writers and contributors to support near around-the-clock coverage.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience in sports writing.
• Experience with fantasy sports writing and comfort using fantasy terminology.
• Strong editorial judgment across multiple sports properties.
• Experience with social media platforms, particularly X, Bluesky, and Instagram.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure, meet deadlines, multitask, and adapt to changing storylines.
• Must be at least 18 years old and have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with sports betting and playing fantasy sports.
• Familiarity with CMS and digital publishing environments.
• Knowledge of AP style, sports research and statistics methods, and fact-checking practices.
• Comfort with video and audio editorial presentation.
