Investment Manager - Investment Business Development

What you will do

• Support strategically important investment and business development initiatives.
• Develop new asset classes and alternative asset-sourcing channels.
• Originate and evaluate investment opportunities beyond established sourcing routes.
• Lead due diligence across asset modelling, risk-return, capital, matching adjustment, P&L, ALM, and hedging considerations.
• Assess potential investments within the wider portfolio and manage relationships with external asset managers.
• Collaborate with Portfolio Management, ALM, Capital, Risk, and wider stakeholders, then hand completed projects over to operational teams.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of the UK insurance sector and its investment considerations.
• Understanding or experience of regulatory developments including Highly Predictable assets and the MA Investment Accelerator.
• Broad understanding of fixed income investments across different asset classes.
• Experience originating and evaluating investments for UK insurers.
• Strong analytical judgement, stakeholder management, communication, and project management skills.
• A numerate, actuarial, or investment qualification, or equivalent relevant experience, is advantageous.
