Grain Inspector (Agriculture)

Location: Council Bluffs, Iowa, USA; onsite laboratory work in an industrial facility

Salary: $16.00 per hour, with overtime and holiday rates

What you will do

• Test and grade grain samples for moisture, weight, foreign material, mycotoxins, non-GMO traits, and other quality criteria.
• Record and communicate results to truck drivers, merchandisers, farmers, and grain companies.
• Maintain sample flow through the laboratory and support smooth grain operations.
• Serve as a backup sampler/prober and complete related paperwork.
• Maintain a clean, safe laboratory and follow health, safety, environmental, and USDA grain standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Computer skills, including Excel and Outlook, with willingness to learn new systems.
• Reliable transportation to the facility.
• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods, lift up to 15 pounds, and navigate stairs.
• Safety-conscious, customer-service-oriented, and able to communicate effectively in a small-team environment.
• Related experience is helpful but not required; training is provided.
