Laboratory Technician (Microbiology)

Location: Linlithgow EH49, UK; full-time onsite role working Monday to Friday from 11:00 to 19:30, plus one weekend in every four.

What you will do

• Prepare food samples for incubation in trained testing areas.
• Assist with microbiological culture media preparation and record quality control and performance checks.
• Follow the Eurofins Quality System and report unsafe or poor laboratory practices.
• Provide general support to laboratory staff and maintain clean, orderly work areas.
• Clean equipment, floors, bins, benches, and washroom areas as required.
• Dispose of laboratory waste in accordance with established procedures.

Requirements

• Knowledge of routine laboratory operations and the importance of maintaining a clean laboratory.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer literacy, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Applicants must be able to work onsite in Linlithgow, UK.
• Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
