Accounting Intern

Location: Hybrid in Denver, Colorado; three days in-office per week on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Candidates must live in the United States and be authorized to work there full time.

What you will do

• Support monthly accounting close procedures, including journal entries, reconciliations, and analysis.
• Assist with SEC filings, including the second-quarter 10-Q, disclosure checklist, and financial statement tie-out.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and help develop KPIs for accounting automation.
• Test automation tools, document workflows, and evaluate automation effectiveness.
• Support internal audits, document control procedures, compliance activities, and special accounting projects.

Requirements

• Junior-level student pursuing a bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Intermediate Excel proficiency and developing analytical skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Creative problem-solving ability with attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn and collaborate with teammates.
• Must live in the United States and be currently authorized to work there on a full-time basis.
