Blending Operator (Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite in Opelika, Alabama, United States. Night shift with 12-hour shifts and full-shift standing and walking requirements.

Salary: $37,000–$60,000 per year, plus potential annual performance bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Check ingredient part numbers, lot numbers, expiration dates, quantities, and stage raw materials from the warehouse.
• Charge blenders, blend ingredients according to batch records, discharge products into super sacks, and transport materials with forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Use the Manufacturing Execution System to stage, charge, and yield products while maintaining accurate batch records, labels, and logbooks.
• Operate granulation, comminution, sieve-analysis, moisture-testing, and drying equipment.
• Clean and maintain blending equipment, rooms, walls, floors, and fixtures according to required standards.
• Subdivide bulk product for outside sales and maintain records required by FDA and hirify.global procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, or five years of equivalent work experience.
• At least three months of manufacturing experience.
• English communication skills are required for reading batch records, operating instructions, safety regulations, and maintaining written logs.
• Ability to stand and work for a full 12-hour shift, climb stairs, perform repetitive duties, and regularly lift, push, pull, and carry heavy containers.
• Ability to work safely around noise, heat, fumes, vibration, and dust while using required protective equipment.
• Forklift certification must be obtained within six months of attaining the position.

Nice to have

• Experience as a production machine operator, utility worker, or in a similar role.
• Working knowledge of blending operations.
