AI Software Developer (Ruby on Rails/React)

Location: Barcelona, Spain; office-first hybrid schedule with on-site work several days a week

hirify.global is building AI-powered business management software that centralizes workflows across HR, Finance, Talent, Operations, and IT.

What you will do

• Act as a founding engineer in a new hirify.global spinoff, owning major initiatives from idea to measurable outcome.
• Define goals and plan quarterly technical roadmaps with the team.
• Build, deploy, evaluate, and iterate AI-powered features and agentic workflows.
• Integrate AI models into scalable, cloud-native applications using Ruby on Rails and React.
• Participate in customer calls to understand user needs and review code daily.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering quality and architecture decisions.

Requirements

• 4+ years of software engineering experience and experience or strong curiosity around shipping AI features.
• Experience with Ruby on Rails and React; solid TypeScript knowledge is valuable.
• Practical experience evaluating AI features in production and reviewing agentic workflows.
• Ability to reason about non-deterministic outputs and LLM architecture trade-offs.
• Entrepreneurial mindset, strong ownership, and comfort building products from scratch.
• Clear technical communication in English is required.

• Experience working in an early-stage startup environment.
• Experience with performance, architecture, or other advanced engineering topics.
