Personal Financial Counselor (Military Financial Counseling)

Location: OCONUS - US Army Garrison - Ansbach, Germany; onsite at an assigned military installation

Salary: $58,440–$93,500 per year

What you will do

• Provide one-on-one personal financial counseling and financial management services to service members and their families.
• Help participants establish spending plans for extended absences and provide relevant financial resources.
• Develop financial education materials and deliver classes, workshops, briefings, and seminars across the military lifecycle.
• Provide authorized virtual counseling through secure online, video, or teleconference channels.
• Coordinate with installation and military branch points of contact, communicate relevant trends to leadership, and participate in supervision and quality improvement activities.
• Manage duty-to-warn situations according to Department of Defense protocols.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required; an associate degree plus four years of experience or a high school diploma plus six years of experience may be considered instead.
• At least three years of financial counseling experience.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and speak fluent English.
• Must hold an AFC, CFP, or ChFC certification and a valid driver's license.
• Must be able to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation and pass the Congressionally Mandated Disclosures for Organizational Conflicts of Interest process.
• Bilingual English and Spanish ability may be required by the contract.
