Salary: $58,440–$93,500 per year

What you will do

• Provide personal financial counseling and management services to military service members and their families.
• Help service members create spending plans for extended absences and provide financial education materials.
• Coordinate and deliver financial management classes, workshops, briefings, and seminars across the military lifecycle.
• Provide approved virtual counseling through secure online chat, web-based tools, video communication, or secure video teleconferencing.
• Coordinate with installation and military branch points of contact, communicate with leadership, and share trends and issues.
• Manage duty-to-warn situations according to Department of Defense protocols and participate in supervision, training, and quality improvement activities.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen and speak fluent English.
• Bachelor’s degree required; an associate degree plus four years of experience or a high school diploma plus six years of experience may be considered instead.
• At least three years of financial counseling experience.
• Must hold one of the following certifications: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).
• Must be able to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation and pass the Congressionally Mandated Disclosures for Organizational Conflicts of Interest process.
• A valid in-state driver’s license is required. Bilingual English and Spanish may be required by the contract.
