Program Manager, Variable Cost Productivity (Cost Engineering)

Location: Grand Rapids, Michigan, United States; hybrid work with an expectation of 50% in-office presence. Cross-regional work and up to 20% travel are required.

Salary: $109,600–$137,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead the development and execution of Cost Engineering programs for the Modular Conveyor Systems portfolio.
• Deliver annual cost reductions, sustainable productivity improvements, and financial savings.
• Create and maintain the Variable Cost Productivity scorecard and present updates to executive leadership.
• Build and manage a pipeline of cost-reduction and value-engineering projects.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across Engineering, Product Management, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Sales, Marketing, and Operations.
• Develop business cases, ROI analyses, governance processes, risk tracking, and savings-validation practices.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of experience in project management, value engineering, cost optimization, or a related function.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams across domestic and international organizations.
• Strong knowledge of Value Analysis/Value Engineering methodologies and ideation workshops.
• Experience with business cases, financial analysis, project performance monitoring, risk management, and savings realization.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, dashboard development, data visualization, and performance analytics.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a similar field is desired; equivalent experience may substitute. PMP certification or equivalent project management experience is expected.
