Research Analyst - Oil Production and Crude Markets

Location: Mexico City, Mexico; hybrid work with at least 2 office days per week. Full-time schedule includes early mornings to support collaboration with European time zones.

What you will do

• Analyze asset, market, and industry developments across oil production and crude markets.
• Generate short- and long-term forecasts and contribute to market research products.
• Gather, validate, and interpret industry data supporting research, models, and analytical tools.
• Build relationships with clients and industry participants to strengthen market understanding.
• Produce written analysis on energy transition, oil-petrochemical integration, sustainability, and related industry developments.
• Contribute to client presentations, discussions, and integrated research outputs with analysts, modellers, and product teams.

Requirements

• Background as an engineer or economist, with relevant sector experience, skills, or knowledge.
• Strong interest in commodity market dynamics and the natural resources industry.
• Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to collect, interpret, and clearly communicate data-driven findings.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
• Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement with at least 2 days per week in the Mexico City office and early-morning hours for European collaboration.

• Fluency in an additional language.
