Microsoft SQL Server Administrator (Infrastructure Administrator) (SQL Server)

Location: Katowice, Poland; candidates must be located in the Silesian area and willing to commute to the Katowice office.

What you will do

• Administer and maintain Windows Server and Microsoft SQL Server environments.
• Perform patching, upgrades, security activities, backup and restore operations, and infrastructure migrations.
• Automate operational and administrative tasks using Ansible.
• Monitor production infrastructure, maintain stability and availability, and resolve incidents within SLA requirements.
• Manage user accounts, access permissions, secure access, technical documentation, and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with customers and cross-functional teams on infrastructure services, technical assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience administering and supporting Windows Server environments.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2016.
• Experience with Ansible automation, patch management, backup and restore, and system or database migrations.
• Knowledge of infrastructure monitoring, incident management, security best practices, user access management, and root cause analysis.
• Experience providing 2nd Line Support in enterprise, SLA-driven environments and creating technical documentation.
• English at a minimum B2 level; candidates must be located in the Silesian area and able to commute to Katowice.

Nice to have

• French at B2 level.
• Middleware administration, SAN and storage, monitoring and security tools, cloud and hybrid infrastructure experience.
• Experience leading technical initiatives, mentoring junior team members, scripting, capacity planning, infrastructure upgrades, or performance tuning.
• Microsoft, ITIL, Ansible, or other infrastructure-related certifications.
