Solution Architect (AI)

What you will do

• Own end-to-end architecture and technical outcomes for one or more Genius POS platforms.
• Design payment capabilities, integrations, and APIs connecting POS platforms, shared services, and third-party partners.
• Lead the adoption of AI-enabled merchant experiences, agentic workflows, AI assistants, and developer productivity tools.
• Partner with product and engineering teams to guide technical decisions and balance architectural trade-offs.
• Establish reusable architecture patterns, support platform convergence, and mentor engineers.

Requirements

• Experience as a Solution Architect, Principal Engineer, or Technical Lead with a strong software engineering background.
• Experience designing and delivering complex cloud-native platforms at scale.
• Expertise in payment integrations, PCI-sensitive architectures, tokenization, API design, and secure partner ecosystems.
• Knowledge of microservices, event-driven systems, integration platforms, API management, observability, and DevOps across AWS and/or Azure.
• Experience applying AI technologies, including conversational AI, agentic workflows, and AI-assisted development tools.
• Ability to influence technical decisions, communicate with technical and business audiences, and mentor teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with POS, payments, commerce platforms, PCI DSS, P2PE, tokenization, or omnichannel payments.
• Experience with foundation models, RAG architecture, MCP tooling, and AI-assisted software development.
• Experience driving architecture across multiple teams or platforms and building distributed cloud-native systems.
• Experience fostering collaborative, cross-functional, and distributed teams in Agile environments.
