TL;DR
Data Scientist (AI): Designing and deploying AI-driven financial crime detection solutions using large-scale data, feature engineering, and machine learning workflows with an accent on customer-specific implementations, anomaly investigation, and technical leadership. Focus on extracting actionable insights from big data, solving complex customer requirements, and delivering production pilots across financial services environments.
Location: Mexico City, Mexico. The role includes travel to customer locations domestically and internationally.

What you will do
- Deliver successful customer deployments and pilots for AI-driven financial crime detection solutions.
- Design and manage customer-specific technical solutions throughout the project lifecycle.
- Lead data science and engineering activities, including collaboration with partners and project contributors.
- Work with diverse data sources, apply advanced feature engineering, investigate anomalies, and extract actionable insights from large datasets.
- Build technical relationships with customers and partners, provide product requirements input, and train customers on system usage and monitoring.
- Apply business knowledge to translate complex technical solutions into customer and business value.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as a data scientist, data engineer, or big data developer.
- BSc or equivalent degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field.
- Professional experience in financial services data analytics, including data mining and forensic analysis.
- Hands-on experience with Python or PySpark and data science workflow tools such as MLflow and Airflow.
- Fluent English, both written and spoken.
- Ability to solve complex technical problems, lead projects independently, collaborate with customers and partners, and deliver results under tight deadlines.
Nice to have
- Experience working directly with customers.
- Experience in NLP or graph algorithms.
- Working experience with Linux.
