What you will do

• Analyze product requirements and define publication requirements for technical documentation.
• Write and edit user guides, installation guides, quick-reference guides, release notes, system configuration guides, and help systems.
• Adapt documentation to client writing styles and publication standards including Microsoft, Apple, and Chicago standards.
• Create documentation templates and establish documentation processes for different document outputs.
• Estimate documentation efforts, coordinate deadlines, and communicate task progress with project stakeholders.
• Interview subject matter experts and coach or mentor junior staff.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Strong understanding of software documentation and terminology.
• Knowledge of the Documentation Development Life Cycle (DDLC) and its relationship with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience establishing documentation processes, updating documents using existing templates, and creating documentation and templates from scratch.
• Proven UX writing experience.
• Advanced English proficiency required.
