Senior Technical Risk Analyst (Cybersecurity)

Location: Hybrid in Vienna, Virginia, or Pensacola, Florida, United States. Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM.

Salary: $114,500–$179,500 annually.

What you will do

• Assess technical risks across IT infrastructure, applications, systems, data, vendors, and technology projects.
• Develop and improve risk management frameworks, policies, controls, dashboards, and mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, including evidence collection, process walkthroughs, findings, responses, and compliance documentation.
• Monitor cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies.
• Investigate technical incidents and breaches, conduct root-cause analyses, and prepare corrective-action and lessons-learned reports.
• Present technical risk trends and remediation progress to senior management and collaborate with IT, cybersecurity, compliance, legal, and audit teams.

Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
• Experience with IT audit practices, technical risk management, cybersecurity, or IT governance.
• Hands-on experience with risk assessments, risk frameworks, mitigation strategies, incident management, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
• Advanced knowledge of risk frameworks and compliance requirements, including ISO, NIST, COSO, and related regulations.
• Advanced understanding of IT systems, network architecture, cloud technologies, and cybersecurity.
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, risk management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a related field.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or CISA.
