Remote Tax Manager - CPA

Location: Remote within the United States; Dallas, TX

Salary: USD 100,000–150,000 yearly

What you will do

• Review complex federal and state tax returns for accuracy, compliance, and tax-saving opportunities.
• Advise key clients through year-round tax planning, strategic consulting, and proactive communication.
• Manage tax filings, research, audits, workflow, deadlines, and budgets across the tax department.
• Train, mentor, and delegate work to senior and staff accountants.
• Resolve complex tax issues and conduct advanced research using tax automation tools.

Requirements

• Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 5 to 8+ years of progressive tax experience in a public accounting firm.
• Deep knowledge of current tax laws and multi-jurisdictional compliance.
• Proficiency with tax preparation and research software.
• Strong communication, critical-thinking, and client-relationship management skills.

Nice to have

• Master of Science in Taxation (MST) or MBA.
