Manager, Medical Affairs LATAM North (Medical Devices): Leading Medical Affairs activities for Baxter's Advanced Surgery portfolio across Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean with an accent on surgeon education, scientific engagement, and clinical evidence generation. Focus on designing hands-on training, developing key opinion leader relationships, supporting research and publications, and coordinating medical strategy across a complex regional environment.

Location: Must be based in Mexico City, Mexico; extensive travel throughout Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean is required.

What you will do

  • Lead Advanced Surgery Medical Affairs activities and execute the regional Medical Affairs plan across LATAM North.
  • Serve as the primary medical and scientific expert for hirify.global hemostat, sealant, and related Advanced Surgery products.
  • Design and deliver evidence-based surgeon education, workshops, wet labs, cadaver laboratories, simulations, and scientific symposia.
  • Build peer-to-peer relationships with surgeons, key opinion leaders, academic centers, healthcare systems, and professional societies.
  • Identify evidence-generation opportunities, support research and publications, and review scientific and educational materials.
  • Partner with Commercial, Marketing, Clinical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Market Access, Government Affairs, and Global Medical Affairs teams.

Requirements

  • Medical Doctor degree, formal surgical training, and meaningful clinical experience in a surgical specialty.
  • Current or previous operating room practice and at least five years of combined experience in surgical practice, Medical Affairs, Clinical Affairs, academic medicine, clinical research, or the medical device industry.
  • Experience educating surgeons and healthcare professionals and presenting scientific and clinical information to multidisciplinary audiences.
  • Strong knowledge of surgical practice, perioperative care, operating room workflows, procedural education, clinical evidence, and scientific exchange.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English is required.
  • Must be based in Mexico City, Mexico and willing to travel extensively across Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean.

Nice to have

  • Portuguese proficiency.
  • Experience in general, cardiothoracic, trauma, bariatric, colorectal, surgical oncology, minimally invasive, or another relevant surgical specialty.
  • Experience with topical hemostats, surgical sealants, tissue repair products, adhesion prevention technologies, or related surgical medical devices.
  • Experience leading cadaver labs, wet labs, simulation programs, or procedural workshops.
  • Established relationships with surgeons, academic institutions, or professional societies in LATAM North.
