Associate Director, Clinical Strategy and Delivery

Location: United States of America

Annualized minimum base pay: $137,000 USD. Actual compensation depends on qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency.

What you will do

• Participate in proposal development for Clinical Operations and define risk-based monitoring strategies where appropriate.
• Drive implementation of risk-based monitoring across assigned clinical studies, including negotiation of hybrid monitoring strategies.
• Oversee clinical project teams and provide mentoring and operational support to team members.
• Monitor the financial performance of clinical delivery services, identify overburn and out-of-scope activities, and coordinate contingency measures.
• Manage clinical corrective and preventive actions through investigation, root cause analysis, action planning, and effectiveness checks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• At least 8 years of clinical research experience, including at least 5 years as a Clinical Trial Manager, Clinical Lead, or Project Manager.
• Strong understanding of clinical operations delivery from study start-up through maintenance and close-out.
• Strong leadership, strategic thinking, negotiation, and persuasion skills.
• Ability to anticipate critical issues, develop proactive contingency plans, and address operational risks.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
