Location: Austin, Texas, with a hybrid schedule requiring at least three onsite days per week

What you will do

• Build technical solutions within the Artificial Intelligence track for healthcare technology projects.
• Apply machine learning methods to real-world data and technology challenges.
• Collaborate with peers, mentors, and cross-functional partners on hands-on projects and innovation initiatives.
• Participate in technical training, leadership development, business exposure, and community activities.
• Present technical concepts and findings to nontechnical audiences.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field with emphasis on machine learning.
• Foundational knowledge of supervised and unsupervised learning, with practical experience from coursework, projects, research, or prior work.
• Working knowledge of Python and exposure to machine learning or generative AI libraries such as Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, or Hugging Face.
• Experience with data preprocessing, feature engineering, and visualization using tools such as Pandas, NumPy, and Matplotlib.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Must be eligible for employment in the United States and must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future, including H-1B, CPT, OPT, or STEM sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Exposure to model evaluation, prompt design, retrieval-augmented generation, large language models, or responsible AI.
• Familiarity with Apache Spark or Hadoop.
• GPA of 3.3 or higher.
