Architectural Intern (Summer 2027)

What you will do

• Develop project documents, including calculations, reports, construction drawings, specifications, and discipline deliverables.
• Assist with conceptual design development and coordinate work with the design team under project team leadership.
• Perform 3D modeling, design work, field investigations, and red-to-black markup and review tasks.
• Produce floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, finish plans, elevations, sections, schedules, and installation details in accordance with VDC standards.
• Coordinate with architectural staff, other disciplines, vendors, clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies across multiple projects.

Requirements

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex data sets and develop actionable insights.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate with multiple disciplines and internal and external stakeholders.
• Interest in the food and beverage or life sciences industries.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, BIM360 Suite, or Assemble.
• Knowledge of AEC industry regulations and standards.
• Prior architecture or related internship or co-op experience.
