Web & SEO Manager

Location: Fully remote, preferred location global; listed location: Cape Town, South Africa. Working hours: 9 am–6 pm CT. Holidays follow the US federal holiday calendar.

Monthly salary: $1,600–$2,000 USD.

Work is delivered for a boutique US personal injury law firm focused on personalized service, empathy, and high-touch client support.

What you will do

• Manage, maintain, update, and secure the WordPress website end-to-end.
• Execute technical, on-page, and local SEO strategies for competitive legal searches.
• Optimize the Google Business Profile, local listings, NAP consistency, and map positioning.
• Monitor Google spam audits, algorithm updates, ranking issues, and listing suppressions; communicate with Google Support when needed.
• Use Google Analytics and Search Console to track traffic, performance, and conversions.
• Manage reputation and Google Reviews, create marketing content, and coordinate with external agencies and vendors.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in SEO, GEO, and web development for US companies.
• Proven experience maintaining and updating WordPress websites.
• Strong technical, on-page, and local SEO expertise with demonstrated ranking and traffic results.
• Understanding of content optimization for AI discovery, generative engine optimization, and LLM-driven search tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proactive, self-directed approach with the ability to identify technical risks and recommend solutions independently.

Nice to have

• Experience working in marketing for law firms or other competitive, high-intent local services.
• US law firm experience.
• Experience with reputation management, Google Reviews management, and marketing content creation.
