Focus on supervising research staff, maintaining data and laboratory resources, supporting collaborations, and solving operational challenges across concurrent research projects.

Location: 450 Brookline Ave, Boston, MA 02215, United States; onsite with occasional remote work

Salary: $88,000–$110,100 per year

What you will do

  • Manage laboratory operations, procedures, supplies, equipment, safety, and expenditures.
  • Monitor research staff work and ensure compliance with laboratory practices, DFCI, NIH, and sponsor training requirements.
  • Support the PI with research collaborations and contribute to clinical, genomic, and epidemiologic research projects.
  • Maintain laboratory databases and assist with data entry and quality control.
  • Supervise, hire, develop, mentor, and evaluate research staff, technicians, specialists, and trainees.
  • Manage mouse colonies when applicable and coordinate technical support resources with scientific program leadership.

Requirements

  • Exceptional people management, organization, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical abilities for evaluating problems and making timely decisions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills, including comfort working with diverse colleagues.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work onsite in Boston with occasional remote work.
