Software Engineer 2 (Kubernetes)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and deploy a complex, scalable web application using Kubernetes-orchestrated containerized services.
• Build RESTful APIs and microservices with Python or Java.
• Architect data pipelines for ingesting, processing, and delivering data to applications.
• Create interactive data visualizations and dashboards with modern frontend frameworks.
• Design CI/CD pipelines, automated tests, and production deployment and monitoring processes.
• Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and product managers and communicate technical designs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• United States citizenship and an active TS/SCI clearance with an agency-appropriate polygraph are required.
• 14 years of software engineering experience supporting programs of similar scope and complexity.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or four additional years of relevant software engineering experience in lieu of a degree.
• Proficiency in Python or Java and experience with Flask, Django, Spring Boot, or comparable web application frameworks.
• Experience with data pipelines, data processing tools, and software testing.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Kubernetes deployments, services, pods, namespaces, resource management, operators, and custom resource definitions.
• Experience with Kubernetes monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK.
• Experience with Apache Spark or AWS.
