Senior Manager, Data Science

What you will do

• Lead, develop, and enable a growing team of internal and external data science colleagues.
• Act as a hands-on technical partner on data science, machine learning, model evaluation, data quality, and scalable implementation.
• Strengthen experimentation and measurement practices across Data & AI, including A/B testing, success metrics, statistical methodology, power analysis, and result interpretation.
• Partner with Product Managers, Tech Leads, Engineers, and Data & AI leaders to align priorities, remove obstacles, and raise technical standards.
• Support hiring and onboarding while helping expand the Data Science function.

Requirements

• Several years of experience in applied data science and machine learning, including production data science or ML products.
• Proven people management experience and the ability to support colleagues across different seniority levels.
• Experience with experimentation, A/B testing, causal measurement, or power analysis.
• Strong expertise in Python, SQL, statistical modelling, and large-scale data processing.
• Experience working cross-functionally with product and technical stakeholders.
• Clear and confident communication in English is required.

Nice to have

• German language skills.
• Experience with demand forecasting, replenishment, retail, sponsored ads, e-commerce, or similarly complex operational data science products.
