TL;DR
Trainee (Developing EMA's Podcast Series) (Podcasting/Public Health): Supporting the development of a podcast series that makes complex medicines, healthcare, and public health topics accessible to broad audiences with an accent on research, content development, audiovisual production, and audience engagement. Focus on identifying timely topics, preparing episodes, supporting technical editing and quality assurance, promoting content, and evaluating podcast performance.
Location: Agency premises in Amsterdam, with teleworking up to 40% of working time from The Netherlands and occasional teleworking from outside The Netherlands.
Salary: €2,049.77 monthly stipend for a full-time traineeship, reduced proportionally for 80% or 50% arrangements.

What you will do
- Research timely and relevant podcast topics for different audiences, particularly younger listeners.
- Monitor media, social media, and public discussions to identify emerging topics and episode opportunities.
- Support episode planning, background research, briefing materials, and content development.
- Assist with podcast technical pre-production, post-production, editing, and quality assurance.
- Support promotion, prepare summaries and recommendations, and evaluate the podcast series.
- Collaborate with communication, science, and public engagement colleagues.
Requirements
- Recent university graduate with a degree of at least three years in journalism, communication, science communication, or a related field, or an eligible Erasmus+ or similar programme, PhD, or Master's student with a completed relevant degree.
- Full rights as a citizen of an EU Member State, Iceland, Liechtenstein, or Norway.
- English at C1 level or higher and good knowledge of another official EU language at B2 level or higher.
- Research, analytical, communication, interpersonal, adaptability, teamwork, and learning skills.

- Experience in audiovisual production.
