Automotive Technician

Location: 006653 Selden, United States; on-site automotive service work

Salary: $21.00–$31.56 per hour through a performance-based flat-rate compensation model.

What you will do

• Perform oil changes and scheduled vehicle maintenance.
• Inspect steering, suspension, and brake systems.
• Install batteries and parts, and check electrical systems.
• Perform tire maintenance and repair services.
• Road test vehicles and assist with vehicle assessments and repair procedures.
• Explain repair procedures to customers and provide service support.

Requirements

• Ability to learn basic mechanical tasks and automotive maintenance procedures.
• Basic knowledge of oil changes, vehicle inspections, and tire repair.
• Valid automobile driver's license and ability to drive customer and company vehicles.
• Reading, writing, and math skills.
• Completion of Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification; temporary work authorization or the need for sponsorship may disqualify employment.

Nice to have

• Two years of automotive repair experience.
• Completion of a vocational-technical program in a related field.
• A.S.E. certification or equivalent external qualifications.
