Senior Android Developer (Kotlin/Android): Developing modular Android applications using Clean Architecture, MVVM/MVI, and the modern Android stack with an accent on lifecycle internals, dependency injection, networking, and local data persistence. Focus on structuring scalable mobile projects, integrating GraphQL and REST services, and building reliable background work with WorkManager.

Location: Hybrid, with attendance once a week in Lisbon, Coimbra, or Braga. Candidates must be based in Portugal and hold Portuguese or EU citizenship, or a valid work permit.

What you will do

Develop and maintain Android applications using Kotlin and the Android SDK.
Build modular projects with Clean Architecture and MVVM/MVI patterns.
Implement dependency injection with Hilt and Dagger2.
Integrate REST and GraphQL services using Retrofit, OkHttp, and Apollo.
Work with local persistence and background processing through Room, SQLDelight, and WorkManager.
Handle Android lifecycle internals and collaborate with client teams through a consulting engagement.

Requirements

5+ years of experience as an Android Developer.
Strong Kotlin experience and knowledge of modern Android development.
Solid command of Clean Architecture, MVVM/MVI, and modular project structure.
Proficiency with Hilt/Dagger2, Retrofit/OkHttp/Apollo, Room/SQLDelight, WorkManager, and Android SDK lifecycle internals.
English proficiency at B2 level.
Portuguese or EU citizenship, or a valid Portuguese work permit, is required.
