Automotive Technician (Automotive)

Location: 795269 Knickerbocker; onsite automotive service role in the United States

Pay range: $15.75–$23.67 per hour, with performance-based flat-rate compensation. First-time hires may receive a $1,500 sign-on bonus.

What you will do

• Change oil and complete scheduled vehicle maintenance.
• Inspect steering, suspension, and brake systems.
• Install batteries, parts, and other automotive components.
• Check electrical systems and perform tire maintenance and repairs.
• Road-test vehicles and assist with vehicle assessments and repair procedures.
• Explain repair procedures to customers and answer service-related questions.

Requirements

• Ability to learn basic mechanical tasks and perform general automotive maintenance.
• Basic knowledge of oil changes, vehicle inspections, and tire repair.
• Valid automobile driver’s license and ability to drive customer and company vehicles.
• Reading, writing, and math skills.
• Must complete Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification; temporary work authorization or the need for sponsorship may disqualify applicants.
• Obtain or maintain at least one A.S.E. certification from A1–A8 within the first two years of employment.

Nice to have

• Two years of automotive repair experience.
• Completion of a related vocational-technical program.
• A.S.E. certification or equivalent training and external qualifications.
