Associate Overhaul Technician (Turbomachinery)

Location: Desoto, Texas; onsite five days a week

Salary: $45,809–$68,713 per year

What you will do

• Assemble and disassemble hirify.global Taurus 70, Mars, and Titan 130 stationary sub-assemblies according to safety, quality, schedule, and cost standards.
• Use work instructions, engineering drawings, schematics, oral instructions, shop practices, precision measuring instruments, hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment.
• Identify procedure or component-quality issues and coordinate with Engineering to resolve technical problems.
• Move turbines, hardware, sub-assemblies, and other materials using approved handling, storage, and routing procedures.
• Record discrepancies, incidents, assembly, disassembly, and repair information in Solar applications and the Quality Management System.
• Support production, team meetings, safety improvements, 5S practices, and continuous improvement projects.

Requirements

• High school diploma or trade school certificate.
• At least two years of hands-on mechanical or turbomachinery experience and two years of manufacturing experience.
• Ability to operate shop, bench, hand, pneumatic, and material-handling equipment, as well as inspection equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, work specifications, and written instructions in English.
• Ability to read micrometers and other precision-measuring instruments; basic computer skills and willingness to learn new software.
• Ability to lift and move parts weighing up to 25 pounds, change shifts during peak production, and work around hoists, cranes, industrial vehicles, chemicals, fluids, heavy parts, and elevated noise.

Nice to have

• Experience maintaining, operating, servicing, or building hirify.global turbomachinery models.
• A&P license, technical degree in engineering or manufacturing, or associate degree.
• Experience in a Lean Manufacturing environment.
