Mechanical Engineering Co-Op (Gas Purification Systems)

Location: San Luis Obispo, California, United States. Full-time on-site co-op assignment from January through June 2027, Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.

Compensation: $20-$30 per hour, depending on overall qualifications.

What you will do

• Support the design, development, and testing of advanced gas purification systems.
• Create mechanical components and assemblies with SolidWorks.
• Perform basic fluid and thermal analyses.
• Create bills of materials and engineering documentation in SAP.
• Document design changes, test results, and engineering reports.
• Assist with prototype and production documentation and contribute innovative solutions.

Requirements

• Mechanical Engineering major, with an expected graduation year of 2027 or 2028.
• Currently enrolled as a student and familiar with university requirements for co-op participation.
• Familiarity with CAD tools such as SolidWorks.
• Basic understanding of fluid mechanics and materials science.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Available to work 40 hours per week for the full six-month assignment.
