TL;DR
Production Planner (Biotechnology) (Supply Chain/Manufacturing): Coordinating integrated operations planning for a large-scale mammalian bioreactor facility with an accent on production scheduling, capacity planning, resource availability, and GMP manufacturing. Focus on developing production, maintenance, and equipment plans, anticipating supply bottlenecks, and optimizing scheduling systems and processes.

What you will do

  • Own operations planning and shop-floor scheduling for Manufacturing Complex 2, a 6 x 20kL mammalian production bioreactor facility.
  • Develop integrated short-, mid-, and long-term plans covering production, maintenance, resources, materials, plant, and equipment availability.
  • Coordinate operational requirements across Procurement Planning, Manufacturing Complex 2 leadership and production, Quality, Maintenance and Engineering, Global Engineering, and hirify.global Services.
  • Own the Summary Production Schedule driven by supply chain demand planning and the Master Production Schedule, including capacity recommendations.
  • Anticipate supply bottlenecks and develop measures to improve planning accuracy through process and system optimization.
  • Maintain and train users on the scheduling tool/system and develop the planning strategy for Manufacturing Complex 2 Operations, including investment and qualification activities as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in supply chain or biotechnology, or corresponding training qualification.
  • Professional experience in a GMP production environment.
  • Expert knowledge of SAP ERP/MRP and MES systems such as Syncade.
  • Proficiency in Office programs, especially MS Project.
  • Business-proficient English.

Nice to have

  • Shop-floor experience in a biologics operation.
  • German language skills.
  • Experience creating integrated schedules with planning software such as Orchestrate, Schedule Pro, or Aspen Planning.
  • Experience with scheduling and capacity optimization programs.
  • Several years of supply planning experience in pharmaceuticals or biotechnology.
